work•place ex•per•i•ence

noun. The application of UX (user experience) thinking applied to today’s
workforce — its digital and physical spaces, processes, and cultures.

Citrix teamed up with Quartz to create a short course that shows the benefits, and drawbacks, of how WX (workplace experience) can affect your work environment and productivity. They set out to show how WORK isn’t really what it used to be. This next wave of workers is embracing mindfulness, hacking productivity, commuting across virtual space, and demanding more and more of their employer and their life at the office.

The Course

The idea of the course is to illustrate, in a simplest way possible, all the different aspects of WX. Ranging from open office layouts to noisy cubicle buddies. It all affects your productivity.

My job was to come up with a solution and layout that would allow users to navigate through the course in the quickest, smoothest way possible. We decided on a TAP based action. Each page is short and to the point and forces the user to quickly flow through the slides while still learning. All at the TAP or click of a button.

Illustrations

These are a group of illustrations i designed to show the various aspects of the course. They were intended to be used with the home page. I wanted them to work as modular pieces similar to rooms so they work together or independently.

While this may still be a work in progress. Please click around and check it out for yourself.
